Boss is always right

"Boss is always right"... Every now and then you or your colleagues use this saying to console your mind! Isn't it? But why our notions do not match with this "official divine"? Are these creatures made of some different composition by the maker? Why his/her thought process differs from the people lower in hierarchy? Why is he/she unnecessarily dominating most of the time? We accept it globally that no boss is perfect but only one percent of people are courageous to raise their pitch against that 'bossy' attitude. Ninety nine percent people accept that "Boss is a Boss and Boss is always right". Accept it or reject it but those one percent 'daring' people are always suppressed in corporate race or any race in life. No one can teach us professionalism and here we do not intend to prove our boss right or wrong. There are some notions that will always remain same. But one cannot stop working and sit back at home with all such fears in mind. Some points that we can keep in mind and live our life in a 'bossy' environment:

- Keep your work up-to-date and never give a chance to any insider or outsider
- Boss is to be respected like all colleagues in work area. And, never have fear in heart or mind while you take his/her name.
- Do not involve yourself in unnecessary gossips that can ruin your image
- Do not admire something blindly just because your boss likes it. He/She is more intelligent than you. He/She knows who is trying to flatter him/her. And it doesn't work in long run for those who have gaps in their daily work.
- Always remember, you are in work area where no one is a 'friend'. Stay alert and cautious! You may find a lot of opportunists in this corporate environment. Just make situational friends as living in isolation is impossible. And, 'move on'.
- There are many favorites of your BOSS! You may be just one of them. Boss will always have unexpected people in his list who may act as a 'spy'. So, do not ever talk wrong about your boss in front of anyone.
- Last but not the least, accept the fact that 'Boss' has to be bossy mostly as he is been assigned to do that! :-) Do not panic for every damn issue.

It is a fact that whenever you are involved in some issue, the BOSS pops in at that place unexpectedly! Most likely, you are at fault and have no way to prove your sincerity. And, above all, when ninety-nine times you are right, no one comes and appreciate but just one fault/error is exaggerated/escalated and enough to destroy your beautiful image. But then isn't true... We all face this and nothing is different for anyone. There is no point to switch from one job to the other just because of all these issues. Every company has the same 'bossy' boss as he is been trained or educated and supposed to do the same.

One statement that can ease you if you interpret it right... "Boss is only a boss till the time you let him be one!" ;-)

Relax...

We start our day with so many tensions and eventually, heart, mind, soul, and body suffer the pain. Isn't it? The hectic schedules, daily fights, race to attain more money and power, chirpy sessions, meetings in office and activities like these have got a major slot in our calendar. And, it is something very strange that even if we have less work we still bother ourselves so much. May be, we are accustomed to do that! Don't you agree? We have tuned ourselves to take stress. Perhaps, we have sidelined the ways and means that taught us 'how to live life'. Don't you think it's been ages when you took a deep breath! Come, let us ease our mind and body for a while and say it loud to ourselves, "JUST RELAX...!"

Now, answer some quick questions:

Do you get time to exercise? Or you go for a brisk walk?
How often you sit patiently and spend some time with yourself and family?
Do you skip meals? Or eat them in hurry?
How frequently, you wake up early in the morning to walk on the dew drops?
How about enjoying the smell of wet mud?
When did you last share a long chit-chat session with true friends and also played some indoor/outdoor games?
...

The list is endless and undoubtedly, we would regret for not doing such cool things at the right time. And, let us not give ourselves this excuse that 24-hours are less for all this. Sometimes, we can spoil ourselves and delay less important official work by few minutes to enjoy our meal. If not everyday, then at least twice a week we can wake up early to enjoy the 'greens'. It is not a big deal to arrange a small coffee meet with those lovely estranged friends. We tend to ignore so many things by just assuming that people whom we love will understand. But why? The best is not to ignore them but express that we 'care'.

And, here comes the last and the most important question... When did you last smile? A relaxed genuine smile? It is the right time for one! And, do not forget the keyword 'RELAX' :-)

Time to say "hmm"

One of the best times on the internet is when we chit-chat using IM. Imagine a scenario when a relaxed individual share some chat session with good friends or colleagues. Possibly, the best part in those conversations is that you can use any chat jargons, slangs, emotion icons, etc. Such chat sessions usually last for hours adding to entertainment and fun element. One of the coolest expression widely used by all of us is none other than "hmm". Sometimes, some words fit in everywhere so evenly that they make our conversation very easy and enjoyable. Perhaps, the same stand is owned by our "hmm" also. "hmm" sound blends in our thought process so nicely that it either fits in our question or in our answer. Above all this, it adds magic to the those lovely talk sessions. This sound is just like a chameleon that adapts to every role with an ease! Every role assigned to it is played brilliantly. If you doubt that then fit it anywhere in your conversation with your boss. Trust me, just a "hmm" sound will make your boss think that you have a deep mindset or you give your thoughtful consideration to what he/she instructs. However, do make sure to fit it in at right places of a conversation because sometimes, it also signifies "hesitation". Just mould the way you say "hmm" and see it would do wonders for you.

Broadly, this sound can be taken in the form of two major versions. One being a long "hmm" with a falling tone, which means something interesting and you are giving a deep thought to it. And, other being a much shorter "hmm" with no falling tone "huh" which usually means that you never thought of it! So, you make it a "hesitation", "thought", "question" or whatever you feel like. The knockout about this "hmm" sound is that it is understood by people using different languages. Though it has a very wide role so "hmm" sound is not restricted to just these mentioned expressions. The best variant of this sound would be, "I am engrossed in my deep thought process, kindly wait for a few minutes or seconds before you receive a meaningful reply from me. However, if I do not reply, it is most likely that my short attention span has made me forget about our conversation".

Eventually, here comes a soul to ease after completion of a relaxed "hmm" article.

CORPORATE or CO-OPERATE

These days corporate parties are becoming the latest style statement for every Company. Every now and then you might see a chunk of employees at some five star hotel or bars. As far as my knowledge goes, some companies indulge in this on monthly basis. Sometimes, such parties are done on the corporate fund meant for entertainment of the employees. But many parties are done on weekly basis where small teams gather to enjoy and freak out. Team members contribute good amount of money and then lavishly blow off at a ravishing eating joint. At times, a question comes to my mind, how frequently such people think about doing some good for the deprived? Especially, those children who have the desire to study but cannot due to lack of resources. As they say, "Excess of everything is bad", extravagant nature of these corporate parties is also bad. Oh! may be now you as a reader conclude that all such gatherings are bad. However, the emphasis is on healthy parties which occur once in a while. Inspite of such a rude wastage of expenditure on monthly basis, one can contribute equal amount of money which would pay the fee of poor students who aspire to study. In such giant firms if the entire population is divided into a twelve big groups where each month we have a group to contribute. And, this makes the cycle of donation pretty vicious and gigantic for all those in need. Big companies can dare to take some good steps to educate the needy and eradicate ill-effects of poverty in some way. We groom our own children with a sense of responsibility. Whereas, we forget a petty saving and combined effort can add value to someone's life. Perhaps, we need to accept the fact that a few relationships are above a simple blood relation. Is it that tough? If it is not then go ahead, make a small group to assist those who are dying for a minor aid. Trust me, they will treasure your valuable love and support.
As a writer, would want the readers not just to read the article and move on! How many times have you thought of taking a challenge? How many times you did something good for society? How many times have you suggested massive ideas to your corporate? How many times has someone left you with such questions in heart and mind? Tell me?
